Don’t even get me started on aso ebi. Everyone wearing the same fabric in all styles and various interpretations. And although a lot of it is purely cosmetic these days, the beautiful sentiment behind aso ebi remains. Simply put, the people wearing your aso ebi support you. When you’re celebrating, they’re celebrating.
But if we’re being honest being a part of the diaspora and keeping the tradition of aso ebi alive can sometimes be so cumbersome. Coordinating clothes and fabric selections from oceans away, distributing aso ebi across multiples states and provinces, selecting thank you gifts, and just making sure your pepper dem gang is ready to slay. It’s a job all on its own and that’s where we come in!
